Prof. Bozidar STOJADINOVIC

Bozidar Stojadinovic

Cluster Leader of Resilience of High-Density Urban Systems & Principal Investigator of Resilience Analysis of High-Density Urban Systems & Energy Resilience in High-Density Urban Systems

Božidar Stojadinović is the Chair of Structural Dynamics and Earthquake Engineering at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) Zürich and a member of the ETH Risk Center. He was a Professor at the University of California Berkeley and the University of Michigan. He graduated with PhD in Civil Engineering from UC Berkeley in 1995.

His main research is in the field of community disaster resilience. In this area, he specializes in resilience evaluation and design of civil infrastructure systems, buildings and bridges. In addition, Professor Stojadinović is active in expanding the scope of probabilistic performance-based seismic design from single structures to communities, as well as in the development of hybrid simulation experimental techniques.

He published more than 350 scholarly publications. At ETH, Professor Stojadinović teaches courses on seismic design, structural dynamics and theory of structures. To date, he graduated 41 doctoral students.
