Prof. Gabriela HUG
Prof. Gabriela Hug joined ETH Zürich as the head of the Power Systems Laboratory in the Information Technology and Electrical Engineering Department in 2015. She received her MSc and PhD degrees from ETH Zürich in 2004 and 2008, respectively.
From 2008 to 2009 she was with Hydro One in Toronto, Canada working as an Assistant Asset Management Engineer and from 2009 to 2015, she was an Assistant Professor at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, USA.
Her work focuses on the reliable and resilient operation and planning of the electric power system and the integration of renewable generation into the power grid. She has received a number of awards for her work including the NSF Career Award and the IEEE PES Outstanding Young Engineer Award.
