Pradeep ALVA

Research Associate/ PhD Researcher of Urban Climate Resilience

Pradeep Alva is a PhD researcher and Research Associate at the Department of Architecture, National University of Singapore. He works in the Urban Climate Resilience module, FRS. He is focused on the topic of Urban Digital Twins and developing a 3D web map application which will serve as a user-experience dashboard for decision makers involved in greenhouse gas (GHG) emission mitigation and decarbonizing initiatives for cities.

He is part of the course development team of the NUS-EdX professional certificate programme -'Spatial Computational Thinking', which teaches the theoretical knowledge and practical skills required for leveraging computation to manipulate various types of spatial data. He has performed complex GIS models and designed various geospatial urban planning decision-making
frameworks. He has developed a set of tools that automate the geoprocessing and assessment workflows for city planners.
