Yatao ZHANG

PhD Researcher of Distributed Cognition for Social Resilience

Yatao is a doctoral student at the Future Resilient Systems (FRS) at the Singapore-ETH center and the Mobility Information Engineering (MIE) lab at ETH Zurich. His current research interests lie in context-based spatiotemporal analysis, traffic forecasting, and land use modeling.

Yatao has a background in computational urban science and geospatial data mining. He received his master's degree in Cartography and Geographical Information Science (GIS) from Wuhan University and a bachelor's degree in GIS from Sun Yat-sen University. During this period, he focused on functional urban land use recognition and urbanization studies using multi-source geospatial data during this period. At FRS, he will extend his research to develop methods for incorporating contextual information into knowledge discovery from mobility data.
